‘Why don’t we skip the common..?’
Is what he wrote to me on this dating app.
‘What do you mean I asked him?’
‘Let’s meet..’
I received almost immediately.
I went to his picture and clicked on it.
Half naked.
At least the pictures showed only half of his body and that was naked.
I went to his description.
‘Fun, Sex’
‘hmm..’, is what I thought.
I was thinking about my own description.
‘Just for meeting people, drinks, nice conversations’.
Of course I knew that he wasn’t intending the same, but I wanted to test it.
‘For coffee..?’
Is what I send back to him.
I went to work and didn‘t give it much attention.
A few hours later, I checked my phone again.
The guy had unmatched me.
It wasn’t a surprise to me.
Apparently it wasn’t the same, what we wanted.
But I was thinking.
Of course he didn’t want the same as me, but I needed to test.
If he couldn’t even say to me directly that he wanted to have sex, how could I have ever known that that was exactly what he meant.
At least if he had said to me that he wanted to have sex, I could have give it a chance.
To have a conversation.
Not speaking about love.
But as I have learned, I can only give it a chance if he deserves it.
And this one didn’t deserve it, because he couldn’t even say he wanted to have sex or at least explain what he meant with fun, sex.
Of course he had put it in his description, but who reads those really?
A genuine question.
